The posting by Wes proves again how different instruments and brands of instruments can be. My d'amores (formerly I had Loree, now I have Marigaux) do not have the tendencies which he found in his instrument. And I also found that different bocals on my instruments often change the relative intonation of particular notes, such as G2. I also find that a slightly wide shape does not create problems with intonation in the upper register.
