If all else fails and it's in tune, you can use your RH D trill key. You roll the middle joint of your middle finger and depress the trill key, releasing the actual middle hole at the same time (and, of course the middle and 4th fingers of the LH), with the upper octave key). The description sounds horribly complicated; nevertheless it works very easily when you get used to it.
Then, getting down to the B is easy.
Actual transitions:
xxx|xxx (LH 1st octave)
xoo|xdo (LH 2nd Octave)
xoo|ooo (LH 2nd Octave)
BTW - your trill D will sound different to the one you are used to. However, ask some good musician to tell you which one sounds "truer", the regular
hxx|oxoC, or the trill key. You may be surprised by the answer ...
