Hello all,
I don't play the oboe (I 'play' the clarinet and usually post on the Clarinet BBoard - I never knew there was an Oboe BBoard here as well), but I've seen this sad old oboe in the window of a second-hand shop down my main street. It is going for £65 (GBP). The keys are tarnished, the case old and tarnished too. Should I rescue it? I've never really had the desire to play the oboe (please don't shoot me, lol).
I just think it is unusual to see an oboe like that - clarinets are there in the window around once a month. Knowing how expensive oboes are, I'm thinking, hmm, maybe not a bad thing, picking it up.
Thx for reading,
Elizabeth
