If you're dealing with purchased reeds, then most of what has been said here is a good option. However, if you're making your own reeds, I wouldn't bother with a leaking reed. I would just break it and make another one. A leaky reed shouldn't be that common anyway, but if it is, you'd have to reevaluate your shaping, your tie length, and the tension of your tying. When a reed does leak, it's because of one of those variables is not correct. It's better to spend your (precious) time tying another, better, reed, than to waste time trying to fuss with a leaky reed. If it's almost finished and THEN it starts leaking, then maybe do the cling wrap thing if you're in a real bust for reeds. However, in the normal run of things, I just toss a leaky reed.
