Annoying how some oboes play more easily in tune and others make you sweat, isn't it?
Is it your teacher who has play-tested the oboe and it's sharp, or is it just yourself?
if just yourself, perhaps 8 years of sax-trained lower lip might be pressing too tight or trying to work the lower cane against the upper cane instead of blowing both blades with equal pressure like a whistle, sax embouchure maybe needs more time patiently reconstructing it for oboe playing
tone-test your reeds (with long steady tones outside oboe) if they're already blowing sharp (with age especially) that'll skew tuning, and if they're too flat when you play 'neutral embouchure' perhaps you're over-compensating by lipping up too hard
if teacher finds oboe sharp, can you reset your tuner to A442 and A444 to see if oboe plays more accurately with trusty tuner then?
If it does ... maybe board experts can tell you if it's fixable or not
Interesting oboe name, do you have any history & background on it?
