Walter, I ended up buying a used Loree from a Pro who was ready for a new one. I don't have a lot of experience playing EH's either, but I was confident that this horn was in good shape and I didn't want to go through the hassle of breaking in a new one or paying up for it either, since I won't be playing it as much as my oboes. I don't have a lot of experience with EH's either, but my approach was, get a good horn that will hold its value and then in a couple of years, if I MUST have a new horn having gotten myself to a point where I can justify it, I'll trade up.
