Thank you, Graham. I guess I've been tying off about the same as you, and my finished reed may be about the same length as yours. I did not know that about the heart. I will have to try that.

I have tried putting on the wire but clearly don't know what I'm doing because the wire seems to have little effect. If you have suggestions about the wire, I would appreciate them.
