Iused to buy reeds from Weber, but have been using GTG reeds for about 3 yrs now and have been mostly satisfied with the quality. I generally condition them for 3 to 5 days before making any adjustment, then for another wk (r 2 sometimes) before they really start showing their true colors. I can usually tell right away whether a reed is going to be a 'star' or a 'dog' within the 1st wk.
If you try GTG reeds and like them, be sure to tell Ms. Cassell your opinion, and if she can do anything to make them work better for you. She has been a great help to me since I stopped scraping my own (due to thumb prob's).
