At can't emphasize enough how surprised I was to here this different tone coming out of my oboe. It stunned me for a second. I like the sound, but I like the sound from my other medium reeds I get from my teacher. They are totally different tones. It's amazing to me.
Meg's reeds bring a sound which has much clarity and purity....in my opinion.
The depth of the tone is more singular, comparing it to the different vocal sound of operatic sopranos....fullness of voice...I guess. Anyway, I like the sound of Meg's reeds based on the one I have used.
By the way, I bought the reeds cheaper at the store than at Meg's web site.
It was about $1.00 less at the store. They didn't have Cheryl's reeds in medium so maybe they offered Meg's mediums at the same price.
