i'll give the Bb a try! actually the high C# fingering you gave is easy to manage with embouchure, just have to be conscious to do so..when i hit the low C key, it just kills the note, flattening it too much and sucking the tone right out of it. i'll try C# to see if that works better. i'm playing on an early '80s loree cor without the b res and 3rd 8ave, but i really love the horn other than trying to work out those couple of notes to make sure it's not a problem with the horn per se. has a loree #2 bocal...wondering if experimenting with other bocals would impact some of those notes, but generally the scale is very good, and i'm hitting those high notes ok without the 3rd 8ave.
