If you want to be unique and play something ridiculously GORGEOUS how about the Elgar Soliloquy for Oboe and Orchestra which was orchestrated by Gordon Jacob?
Go on..you know you want to.
Or, the second movement of the Beethoven Oboe Concerto in F survives. It's only 6 minutes, but equally lovely.
