Some call that histrionics, others natural movement realted to the excitement of the music.
I once video taped myself doing orchestral work and thought I moved around like a mad man. Too much! It can distract from the group and overall performance, and my bald head waving around like Haley's comet is not a particular thing of beauty anyway.
I thought the great playing heard in the NY Phil example was a bit degraded by the excessive physical movements, but that may just be a conservative opinion by an old guy (old fart, well... midle-aged fart, at least).
Politically, I am not nearly as conservative. To each his own.
