Well, I've actually got the whole E-horn thing on the back burner for now (but I think it's in the back of every oboist's mind from the start, because it's billed as the "alto oboe" sometimes, so of course one wonders about playing it, the way a clarinetist wonders about playing the other clarinets), because I've already got so much invested in the "oboe thing" (not least of which is the oboe itself) that I think my husband would freak a bit were I to jump to an "e-horn thing". He was just getting used to having stacks of oboe music all over the bedroom, and now I'm gonna add another instrument? Well, no, not yet. But it's good to know that I could play an EH if I wanted to, mainly because in my experience you never know when Serendipity is going to throw something interesting in your path. So I'll keep my eyes peeled for cors.
