Try different staples! I find more variety in EH staples than in oboe staples. for example, chudnow Eh staples are huge while RDG are quite small. Also, make sure you get some plastic/rubber surgical tubing for the end of the staple, to help seal between the staple and the bocal. Not a lot of players use it, but it's definetely worth it.
