Craig, I see that both you and Susan mention Covey oboes, and that you used to play Loree. Do you like the Covey better? If so, what do you like about it?
I play a Loree AK now and like it a lot, but I've had limited experience with different oboes. I played a Gordet for 30+ years and found the Loree a wonderful contrast. Of course, the Loree is a much newer instrument. I keep wondering what would happen if I had the chance to try other instruments: Howarth, Yamaha, Fox, Covey, Laubin ..... So many options. So little money. Ha!
I'd love to get your thoughts.
