I have found my reeds that work well on my oboe won't always work well on another make.
When I got my Howarth and my teacher tried it, her reeds didn't suit it (though they work well enough on her Marigaux), though when I played a Handel sonata on it, she said 'that's the best I've heard you play that'.
I had a Yamaha 821 before that, and the bore and several other aspects were very similar to her Marigaux and her reeds worked well with it. But I struggled with some of the tuning on the Yamaha (especially the G in both registers which was flat).
But the reeds I used on the Yamaha didn't work too well on the Howarth, though they suited my teacher's Marigaux.
