I don't play Loree.Personally I think Lorees don't have enough "guts" in to the sound,they not consistent in intonation particulary in high register.Also Lorees to me very limited in producing warm tone -not the dark-dull sound but really warm tone with "ring "then needed.I also found that Loree doesn't "help " much with the just OK reed , but call only for "perfect "reeds
High A" tends to be flat and needs more push,so high B-flat and C.
However I admit that Loree oboes have probably the best mechanism,overall they project better than lets say Marigaux or Rigoutat wich I always liked.So my horns are Buffet Greenlines with custom Buffet soft wood bells.
