what do you think of Gordon Hunt's playing style as say, compared to the American style?
I am very taken by what I know of English playing -- I love Nicholas Daniels, Gordon Hunt, and (do you call him an Englishman?) Leon Goosens.
But I also think Joseph Robinson's playing is as good as it gets. So, I guess I gravitate toward the individual oboist, rather than to any supposed "school".
And that may be testimony to what we have discussed elsewhere, viz., the relative homogeneity of good oboists worldwide, these days.
