Thanks Woody,

I have the book and I have been practicing with his suggested technique. The problem I face with this technique is that in order for my tongue to reach the reed, I feel as though I'm loosing the roundness of my embouchure. Perhaps I tend to exagerate it.

To be honest, I may actually be hitting the reed instead of the roof of my mouth but I hit it so lightly as to barely notice it. Also, whatever I'm doing has never been mention by either my previous instructors or band/orchestra directors.
