True. In 'normal' situations:
Stop blowing, and at the same time, cushion the reed, as if a you put your hands and press lightly against a pillow, hand being your reed and pillow being your embouchure.
BUT...
Having mentioned you produce a mooing tone when you stop blowing, it happens, and there is nothing wrong about that, because it's not so much audible from far away. I myself do not have that problem, but i know how to produce that mooing sound, but i don't because i exert more lip pressure on to the reed when i 'cushion' it to stop the sound. (As you will find out that amount of pressure is actually...VERY VERY LITTLE.) Usually at the end of a decrescendo, going to a really soft dynamic, almost fading away, the mooing is inevitable.
