Do you have David Ledet's 'Oboe Reed Styles' book?

It is back in publication and contains many details and great pictures of reeds of the best players from the past generation and from many countries.

I consider it an amazing resource and once you study the variations on each style I think it offers a lot of flexibility. I find some approaches work better with differing cane sources for one thing and that has become an important technique over the years for me.
