KJC - enjoyed reading about your comparison experiences. I will certainly look out for the Rigoutat Delphine.
Susan - thanks for that interesting link! Wonder why he says an outright 'Avoid' for Ward & Winterbourn oboes. I recently bought a second-hand one on eBay and thought it had a nice sound (compared to my student oboe).
