Monarch Chicago Oboe?

Hello,

I'm new to this board but not necessarily new to oboes. I played several years ago and found a vintage oboe at auction. I thought I'd take a chance, and it plays very well. I don't know anything about the age, etc. of this oboe and would love to learn more about its history.

It is wood (possibly stained?) marked "Monarch Chicago" with serial number 2507. It came in the original case with a Lyons Band Instrument Co. stamp. Are there any resources to discover the age of this instrument? Thank you! I have contacted Lyons to no avail.
