Oboi, I've tried the oboe before, and I really like the feel of the instrument on my own hands. I agree fingerings can be quickly picked up, but for reeds, I'm willing to learn provided I have a the orchestra's oboist as my tutor.

For my personality, I can say that I feel comfortable with the crowd, but if I really support a stand strongly, I wouldn't back down.
For tolerance, I figured out that my tolerance will be greatly heightened when I have a tutor to motivate me, and assure me that I'm doing the right thing. Also reading articles on the Bboard relaxes me for some reason!
I am highly interested in mechanics. I thought of becoming a repair tech before, so in the future I may be a part-time repair tech of possible. However, I've yet to discover the mechanics of the oboe, only the clarinet.
For reeds, I feel that it's best when I use them out of the box. I rarely make adjustments, probably because I have not learnt how, an do not have the equipment to adjust. The making of reeds is the most troublesome for oboists I heard?
Money isn't really a problem. Also, I believe my spending will somehow decrease with a tutor around so that I do not buy random unneeded stuff.
