I have heard about the one year when Tom showed up to an IDRS conference with a handful of his prototype English Horn Bocals (which are now probably some of the most popular after market EH bocals here in the states) and a whole BOX FULL of Bass oboe bocals.
Seriously, I think Tom just likes to make things that probably have very little profit margin, and have very little market demand, just to "make them".
