What strikes me is the ease of tone .... relaxed and not "Covered" as many oboists play today . . . definitely not an homogenize tone! Why aren't more American Oboists (I know I am generalizing) playing with such a free tone?
It seems the Europeans are more at ease with such an approach.
It definitely is a more personalized tone color.
