Greetings from Canada to you, oboist from Istanbul!

Short/Long scrape is not the issue when it comes to reeds that are easy or hard to play... there are MANY, MANY other considerations. I make my own reeds and I need easy playing reeds (see the link to my blog in the signature below for recordings). Years ago, I used to make "long scrape", but that really did not work for me.

I will soon be doing a reed exchange with HautboisJJ, so I can know better after that. But I had the pleasure to discuss reeds with him quite a lot over the past year and I tend to trust his advice on reeds. You might want to order a few reeds from HautboisJJ to see if that suits you: BUT beware that climate and weather play a HUGE role in how reeds play.
