Yeah, Susan, some expert on another site guessed it might be from the 1930s; it would make sense as the bore is warped and the keywork is pretty worn.

HOWEVER, this old thing can PLAY the high notes effortlessly! I use it mostly when I'm doing a long show (pit orchestra) and I need the endurance; it has a sweet tone (although the 'pitch centers' aren't perfect, hmm wonder why...) but is more particular with reeds, so I've not discovered how to cut the perfect reed for it yet...

I doubt I could get much selling it, 'tho I paid a fair price. I actually took it to England with me instead of my symphony instrument (a Gordet), because it weighs less.
