 Re: Crack Track

Yamaha YOB-821TP, ex-demo model from Yamaha UK so had seen several exhibitions. Top joint had cracked and was repaired just by filling with superglue prior to me buying it. The crack reopened again and spread half way down the side of the joint past the lower and 3rd 8ve key pillars (and didn't terminate in any toneholes) within the first two months during a rehearsal.

Yamaha UK sent me a replacement top joint free of charge and the existing keywork was transplanted onto it. To my knowledge, it's still doing fine and is still with its second owner who bought it off me around 11 years ago.
