Bobo,

So glad you recognize the role of the baroque in our approach to Oxymora jazz.

You really hit the nail on the head.

Within the practice norms, I love to do the improvisation in baroque.

Not so much on the things I've posted, but in concert for real.

A big part of the fun is in the invention under concert duress. Its risky for sure. And the live audience situation adds some fuel to take the exploration into the performance.

Gets the adrenaline going a bit. Makes a lot of players very nervous, especially in trio sonata groups.

No animals get harmed, only a few egos now and then...
