As a scientist, I can't accept that an intention is the same as a measurement, so I can't accept that the number of measurements is "beside the point." But you've told me what the drawings mean (they are a statement of intention more than a compilation of measurements) and that is all I need to know.
(Sorry you happen to have stepped on a current pet peeve of mine.)
