Jeremy - definitely go with the Quodlibet Fhred as that will take the weight off your right wrist but still allow you to play with good posture.
Be a patient patient, and don't rush back into playing too soon - your recovery depends on you taking it easy and not doing anything strenuous before time, so good luck with your recovery and use the Fhred at all times until you're comfortable to play without it.
Fractures usually take around 6 weeks to heal, but after that you will still have poor mobility as the muscles will have weakened and the tendons and ligaments may have tightened up, so you may need physiotherapy to get the mobility back which will also take time - it could be a matter of weeks or months before you regain all movement you once had.
I've only broken my left ankle which took a fair amount of time (around 3-4 months) before I could run up a flight of stairs, but dislocated my left shoulder more recently which has taken much longer to recover - near on 2 years.
