I know it is nice to have, but is anyone actually going to be able to hear you well enough out doors to make the split D worth it? I presume it is more expensive than the S40. Failing that, any chance you can play both and establish which uses the most similar reeds to your main instrument and stick with that to save reed hassles?
Nice to have a choice though. The rarely come on the second hand market here, normally have to jump straight into the elderly professional area or shell out far more for recent model second hand pros.
