... hm, i've spent some time this weekend combing through these ABRSM specs for the scales in particular, comparing with my Boosey & Hawkes scale book, and IMO the specs need more finishing work done on them to clarify some ambiguities, for example

in Gr 2, why not 12ths in D Major as well as the required D minor 12ths?

where's Em, 2 octaves, by Gr 5 when High Eb & E are required?

two octaves Bb Maj required in Gr 5, but where's G minor to 12th? (one octave required in Gr 4)

What's this 2 octaves (instead of 12th) in Ab for Gr 7, when the highest note otherwise is High F# for this grade?

so fair warning bboarders methinks one needs some salt interpreting these specs

on the plus side, i've now learned what dominant 7th and diminished 7th arpeggios are (required in F for Gr 5) -- i've just been chugging away at common chord arps :-)
