 Re: THE sound

I always thought that his sound was somewhat nasal with a somewhat wide vibrato, but these were older recordings and perhaps, as was stated by another poster, his sound has evolved over the years. Perhaps I should listen to a more recent recording. Anyway, I have a recording of him playing the Strauss oboe Concerto (I believe that's the one) his technique is flawless but I didn't like the bright sound or his vibrato. Anyone know of some sound clips of him playing online that I could listen to?
