 THE sound

Rather than dig up my previous thread about ideal oboe sound, I'll start a new one.

While listening to the radio on the way to work this morning, once again I heard what for me is "the" sound I would aspire to on the oboe. I managed to remember to look up what was playing on the radio station site, but it took some googling to finally come up with the CD:

It was this guy:

Heinz Hollliger. Swiss; I ordered the CD of the particular Vivaldi concerto that was playing (RV 576) and will probably try to find other CDs of his. This one is out of print but still available. Anybody knowing of others, please let me know. I'm not that fond of Vivaldi but want this CD for the sound sample (and of course the playing is equally fine, but it is the sound I'm after.)
