Reed terrors are a constant, no matter which of the oboe family. And my personal favorite to play is the d'amore, for the sound, and yes, it certainly has lots of peculiarities to be managed too. Any tips for us amateurs on doubling? Whenever i have to double oboe and eh, i'm always worried that whichever one i'm picking up will choose that moment not to speak, and for the eh that's usually, of course, the big solo moment. Silver bullets for this? Or maybe at least some aluminum ones?
