Hi James
I have a favourite crook which just works better than the other 2 I have.
One of our most experienced cor players, I had the pleasure of playing together with at some christmas concerts told me he knew why I felt like that: because of the thinner walls, which was more common earlier.
He much preferred thinner walls to the modern 'heavy metal' crooks, gold plated or not.
Is this also your experience, that the thickness of the crook silver has a great impact on the output?
/Thomas
