Thanks, Bobo and hautbois for your replies.
It's always interesting to come across something unfamiliar, and then get to the bottom of it. It seems the best way to do this is to get the book, 'Sound in Motion'! Hautbois suggested Mack students would be a good avenue to gain a fuller understanding of this philosophy. With that in mind, I noticed the debut cd of Eugene Izotov takes the title, 'Sound in Motion'. Does that also imply he was a Mack student once, and maybe applying this technique in his playing? So many questions! James
