Howard,
Just to let you know - I have adjusted my new oboe again. I lessened the distance between the second octave key and vent. I increased the height of the G key to the tone hole.
Most probably as I become more familiar with the Oboe - there will be other adjustments - in embouchure, breath-support, reeds, tuning etc........................... Each instrument has its own center of gravity - ........!
My old Loree just requires and needs something different. In many ways it is the opposite of what is required on the Marigaux. It is not better or worse -just different.
And I do love my new sound .
So the middle C can be adjusted to your satisfaction ................ or pretty close to it.
