I've recently aquired a old Kohlert oboe with sax fingering.
Does anyone know anything about these instruments?
It's a bit tatty but seems to blow ok (I'm a professional sax/clarinet/flute doubler, not an oboist)

 Wow!

That looks like the unholy offspring of an oboe, an Albert system clarinet and a saxophone.

The three RH side keys look particularly odd!

 Doesn't it though!
I'm still undecided if I should get it overhauled and working properly or to just leave a can of worms unopened.
Hhhmmm.......

If you're really looking to play oboe as a serious double...I wouldn't bother with it.

If you want to have some fun...go for it.
