I think you are going to be better off sticking with handmade EH reeds. The "commercial" (i.e., machine made) reeds that I have tried have been the pits.
Crystal Hall at http://reedmonster.com/page2.html makes very good EH reeds. Cooper Wright (cjwright of this board) at http://www.cooperwrightreeds.com/ also makes a nice EH reed.
