On Eb-F trills in the upper register, play the Eb to F trill with the 1st 8ve key INSTEAD OF lifting LH 1 or uncovering the perforation in LH 1 (8ve 1 xxx|xxxEb for the Eb and trill with RH 2 for the forked F), though always release the 8ve key and uncover the perforation in (or lift) LH 1 (depending on your technique) for a held Eb.
F-G trills, either play the forked F (xxx|xox) or key F (xxx|xx,o)and trill with RH 1 only.
And the upper register A#-B (if playing in B minor) is a doddle - I discovered an excellent and simple trill which does away with holding down the small spatula soldered to the top joint C key to keep it closed by LH 1.
Play upper A# (Bb) as normal (8ve 2 xxo|xoo) and closing RH 2 gives the B (8ve 2 xxo|xxo).
Couldn't be easier!
And this makes upper B-Bb-A simple (all with 8ve 2) B - xxo|xxo, Bb -xxo|xoo, A - xxo|ooo, and also an A-B trill by playing A as xxo|oxo and B as xxo|xxo.
Shame it only works in the upper register, and also a shame it won't work on cor anglais either. This fingering only works on conservatoire (or dual) system oboes. On thumbplate systems, you may need to keep the thumb OFF for the xxo|xxo fingering for the B. I don't play thumbplate system (as I prefer dual/conservatoire) and haven't got one to try it out on.
