Th etriple case will sit as an unused curoisity now that I've got the d'amore home, and unwrapped the nice new TWH single case. Interestingly, TWH don't do a d'amore case cover which is a pity (although not for my wallet!)
The oboe and the d'amore are S5s, the Cor is a Loree (non-Royale). I recently tried, on approval, the used cocobolo S5 cor that TWH have in stock at the moment. Lovely instrument, but the Loree suits me better. Added to which, I'd have lost too much on the Loree at trade-in.
Regarding the bass, I now see that Fossati do a bass too, but seemingly only in cocobolo (making it even less able to project its sound??), but I'll get the price from them.
I note that John Myatt woodwind list the Loree bass at about £6500. £9000 would be a bridge too far, even for a madman like me!
