Interesting. Did it project well?- I guess that's difficult to say unless you're in a concert scenario. Just wondering about cocobolo wood; the bass has a hard enough time being heard without further potential 'handicaps'.
Reeds are one area of slight concern for the bass - I'm not sure where to source them if I buy the instrument. I know that Loree do them. I suppose I'll cross that bridge when and if I get to it!!
I also wonder whether Fossati would have a bass ('your' bass??) to send on approval - might mean a trip to Paris otherwise, but not hard as I'm based near London.
