Author: JudyP  Date:   2007-07-10 23:52 Well, I try to be faithful about swabbing it, but I do keep it on the oboe stand rather than put it away in it's case. I save time that way. I think I need to be more careful about taking it apart more frequently to swab each section. I tried the dollar bill method of cleaning the pads, and it works for awhile, but my biggest problem is the C# key. It's very difficult to get the dollar bill completely under the key pad. My other sticky key is the Ab key, but it isn't quite as bad. My C# key won't sound for a split second after I depress it, and it feels like a rubber band snapping. I've been trying to wait until after my daughter's wedding to take it to be serviced, and the wedding was last Saturday. I'm feeling a strong sense of freedom now.
