You may find on some cors the finger spacing is much closer than on oboe - so if you have small hands you needn't worry about having to stretch your fingers more than you do already.

If the weight of a cor is an issue, use either a sling or a telescopic support (eg. the 'Fhred' made by Quodlibet) to prevent any trouble with your right arm if playing cor for long periods of time.
