Do you know, has anyonce attempted combining wood and some synthetic then forming the joints.
Perhaps, impregnating a more porous wood than Grenadilla or Ebony, then wood working the combination?
Or perhaps even mixing Grenaliaa or Ebony dust into the plastic concoction and working with the aggregate material?
As I just look around my desk here I see many expample of plastic engineering, shiny or matted finish, all looking near perfection... the keys on my laptop, the phone on my desk... my printer. None of them are oboes, but it seems the engineering is remarkable.
How about glass? (Space age versions...) Ceramic?
The keys and posts might need to be alternative materials as well, even the pads?
