What for you want to play two octaves in Ab ???
Hey, more important, can you play 2 octaves in Bb on your oboe ???
Do you have oboe with just a standard 2nd octave key (side key), or do you have oboe with third octave key (2nd thumb key)?
If you've only got standard 2nd octave key, the ceiling is High F.
If your oboe doesn't have a low Bb ... well, stick to High F, max!
F scale 2nd octave -- High E and High F need both 1st octave key open and half-hole rolled open
PLUS roll-over your lips further down back of reed and add some extra "bite" (firmer pressure). You'll have to find the right spot on the reed where those high notes speak easiest for you.
Some reeds play high notes very well, and some reeds play low notes very well. A really good reed plays both very well. Get yourself a few more reeds and see if some of them will play all notes better for you, or at least find a reed that'll make high notes easier to play.
And, what for you need all those high notes? Are you playing FLUTE parts in your 3rd year band? As oboe you're allowed to play flute parts an octave lower, that's OK
If you spend more time practicing oboe with a very sweet and beautiful tone (not loud, harsh, coarse, thin, squeaky or nasal), and always, always, always in tune, you will be a really good oboe player.
High notes are lots of fun competing with your peers, but your band teacher is going to notice how well you're doing all the other -- lower --notes which are played 99% of the time.
