I'm planning to start playing English horn this summer. I've been making my own oboe reeds for quite a while. I wonder what information is available on making English horn reeds.
I suspect I'll need a new shaper tip. Do I need a new handle too? I also suspect I'll need a new mandrel. Is that right?
Finally are there any good books or web-sites that detail the process for making English horn reeds?
What else should I know?
